Anderson Silva

By FCF Staff

Anderson Silva will not face Vitor Belfort for a second time next, as speculated, as the UFC has confirmed the former middleweight champ will take on Michael Bisping.

The bout will headline UFC Fight Night 83 on February 27th, which will take place at the 02 Arena in London. The card will be broadcast on Fight Pass in North America.

Silva (33-6) will be competing for the first time since this past January, when he decisioned Nick Diaz. Following the bout the Brazilian star tested positive for PEDs, was suspended for a year, and had the result overturned. The legendary fighter has gone 3-2 in his last 5 contests.

Bisping (27-7), meanwhile, is coming off consecutive wins over CB Dollaway and Thales Leites. The British fighter is also 3-2 in his last 5 fights.

Bisping had been scheduled to fight Gegard Mousasi at the February 27th card. The announcement did not relay what’s planned for the latter.
