Jared Cannonier likely moved into title shot contention today at UFC Copenhagen, by taking out middleweight contender Jack Hermansson in impressive fashion.

The opening-round saw Hermansson repeatedly shoot in for a takedown, but the noted ground-and-pound specialist was unable to keep the fight down. Shortly into round two, Cannonier sent Hermansson to the deck with a hard uppercut as he shot in. After the former light-heavyweight landed multiple shots from above, the fight was called.

Cannonier (13-4), who was coming off a stoppage win over Anderson Silva, has now won three straight fights at 185.
