UFC Denver: Chan Sung Jung Plans to Use “Zombie Style” Against Yair Rodriguez
By FCF Staff
Yair Rodriguez may be an explosive and comprehensive striker, but Chan Sung Jung says the pressuring style that earned him his nickname, will be on display tonight.
Jung is booked to face the featherweight in the main event of UFC Denver, which will be hosted by the city’s Pepsi Center. While talking to the media recently about tonight’s match-up, the “The Korean Zombie” had this to say about his plans for Rodriguez (quotes via MMA Junkie):
“As you can see from my previous fights, I’m not a fighter that has a flashy style,” Jung said. “I’m planning to go forward with what I originally go with: Zombie style.”
“Right now, I want to put my focus on Yair because I don’t think he’s an opponent that I can beat easily, but I do want to face (Frankie) Edgar right after.”
The South Korean featherweight will be fighting for the first time since February, 2017, when he stopped Dennis Bermudez.
