UFC Denver: Mike Perry Reports Donald Cerrone Broke His Arm in Co-Headliner
By FCF Staff
Mike Perry was forced to tap out to an armbar in round one of his fight last night with Donald Cerrone, and the powerful welterweight is reporting that “Cowboy” broke his arm before doing so.
After the card, the heavy-handed fighter tweeted out this:
Good job @Cowboycerrone you broke my damn arm
— Platinum Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) November 11, 2018
Cerrone, meanwhile, said the following while speaking to the press afterward (quote via MMA Fighting):
“I felt it pop before I went belly down,” Cerrone said. “So the rest was just tearing the chicken wing off, yeah. I was taking it home with me.”
The victory on Saturday was Cerrone’s 21st with the UFC, which is a new, promotional record. It was also the 15th finish Cerrone has recorded in the Octagon, which is the most ever by a UFC fighter.
Last night’s event took place in Denver, Colorado.
