UFC FN 104: Kenny Florian Predicts Chan Sung Jung Will Score Victory in Octagon Return
By FCF Staff
Although Chan Sung Jung hasn’t fought in over three years, and he’s about to face one of the UFC’s best featherweights, Kenny Florian believes “The Korean Zombie” will be victorious on Saturday.
Jung (13-4) will take on Dennis Bermudez (16-5) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 104, which will take place in Houston. It will mark the first time the South Korean has fought since 2013, when he lost to Jose Aldo. Jung injured his shoulder during the bout, and hasn’t fought since due to surgery he had done, and his mandatory military service.
On the latest “UFC Tonight“, here is some of what the analyst Florian had to say about “TKZ’s” comeback bout (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):
“The Korean Zombie is very aggressive and is a whirlwind of technique. He gets submissions from front headlocks, which is a good counter to the wrestling of Bermudez. The Korean Zombie is so dangerous. I think Dennis has to be patient with this fight. The longer he’s on the mat rolling with The Korean Zombie, the more susceptible to submissions he is.”
“It’s hard to get a gauge how much The Korean Zombie has progressed with his training since he’s been gone. I think he’s been keeping up and he’ll wait for a mistake from Dennis and get a submission.”
Bermudez is coming off a decision win over Rony “Jason” in August and is 3-2 in his last five bouts.
