Ovince Saint Preux will face “Shogun” Rua for a second time later this month, and the light-heavyweight contender admits he isn’t thrilled about that fact.

OSP battled Rua back in 2014, and quickly stopped the legendary fighter. Now, seven fights later, he’s been booked to fight Rua again on September 23rd, at UFC Fight Night 117 in Japan.

While discussing the rematch during a recent episode of MMA Junkie.com Radio, Saint Preux had this to say (quote via MMA Junkie):

“It’s a job, man,” Saint Preux said. “A lot of times during a job, you have to do certain things you don’t want to.”

“The fan base in Japan is ridiculous,” he added. “So I’m creating a fanbase in Japan. It’s like a short-term loss for a short-term gain.”

Since OSP stopped Rua, he’s gone 3-4, and is coming off a submission win over  Marcos Rogério de Lima. Rua, meanwhile, has won three straight fights since the contest. UFC FN 117 will be hosted by the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama.
