Michael Johnson isn’t happy about the fact he’s been booked for the prelims of UFC Fight Night 124, and the lightweight contender says the promotion can offer no logical answer, for that decision.

Johnson will take on fellow veteran Darren Elkins at the January 14th card, which will take place in St. Louis, Missouri, where Johnson is from. When the card’s line-up was finalized, Johnson criticized his prelim placement via Twitter. Then, in a follow up interview with MMA Junkie.com Radio, the lightweight said this, when asked if he had received a response from the UFC (quote via MMA Junkie):

“I don’t even think they care to give me an answer,” Johnson said. “And, honestly, I’m not looking for an answer. Because there’s no logical answer or reason to that, for me, at least…”

“I’m coming into St-Louis to go to war, and that’s the only thing that’s important to me. I don’t care about the card, because I needed to voice that opinion.”

Johnson, who is ranked #10 in the UFC’s 155 division, is coming off a stoppage loss to Justin Gaethje in July, which was one of the year’s best fights.
