Although Marcin Tybura’s rise up the heavyweight ranks was halted by Fabricio Werdum last November, the Polish fighter isn’t short on confidence, as UFC Fight Night 126 nears.

Tybura is booked to fight Derrick Lewis at the February 18th event, which will take place in Austin, Texas. Recently Tybura spoke with UFC.com, and the 32 year-old had this to say, about recovering from his loss to Werdum.

“For sure, that gave me extra confidence about my career in the UFC,” Tybura said. “Obviously, it’s still something that when you go to the fight you want to win it, so losing that fight was still something that bothered me a few days after the fight. Even though I knew I was a big underdog in the fight and people said my performance was good, I had five days struggling with this loss. But now I’m feeling like there’s a bright future for me in the UFC.”

The 16-3 fighter had won three in a row before facing Werdum, who was a replacement for Mark Hunt at UFC FN 121.
