Following Antonio Rogerio Nogueira’s pivotal win last night at UFC Fight Night 137, the legend’s reporting he wants to fight again. But, the 42 year-old hasn’t completely ruled out retiring either.

Nogueira took on Sam Alvey at the Sao Paulo card, and brought about a second round stoppage, with a series of big lefts. After the bout, which was Nogueira’s first since 2016, the Brazilian star had this to say about his future (quote via MMA Junkie):

“I intend on coming back to fight,” Nogueira said. “I want to come back. I want to feel the octagon again. For as long as I can train well. And if my back injury doesn’t put me to the side, I intend on fighting again.”

“…It’s not something out of the question, but I think tonight’s performance maybe will put that to the side a little bit more. I intend on fighting this year again; I’m going to ask to see if I can fight before the end of the year, or the beginning of next year.”

With the victory yesterday, Nogueira moved his overall record to 23-8.
