Earlier in the week the UFC announced changes to the promotion’s fight night bonuses, and Erick Silva and Charles Oliveira have become the first “performance of the night” winners.

Silva earned the new award and an extra $50,000, for his quick, KO win over Takenori last night at UFC FN 36.

Oliveira, meanwhile, received the bonus for his third round, triangle-choke victory over Andy Ogle.

Interestingly enough, the fighters were the only competitors to record a stoppage or submission win on the card. “Knockout of the Night” and “Submission of the Night” will no longer be handed out.

“Fight of the Night”, and $50K each, went to Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi for their five round, main event. Machida won the technical affair by unanimous decision.

UFC FN 36 was hosted by Jaragua do Sul, Brazil.
