Matt Brown may have taken some punishing shots from Erick Silva early on, at UFC FN 40 Saturday night, but any pain the welterweight feels today is likely well worth it.

Not only did Brown go on to stop Silva in the card’s headliner, but the noted finisher picked up an extra $100,000 in bonuses. Brown and Silva earned “Fight of the Night” honors and an extra $50K each for the thrilling battle, which saw “The Immortal” finish the fight in round three.

Brown, who has won seven straight, also earned a “Performance of the Night” award and 50 grand as well.

The other “POTN” and $50,000 went to bantamweight Johnny Eduardo, for his first round stoppage of Eddie Wineland.

The Fight Night card was hosted by Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena.
