UFC FN 45: Edson Barboza and Evan Dunham Agree to Scrap
By FCF Staff
Following his memorable, submission loss to Donald Cerrone last month, it hasn’t taken Edson Barboza long to line-up another fight, as the lightweight will take on Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 45.
According to the promotion, the lightweights have verbally agreed to fight at the July 16th event, which will be hosted by the Revel Casino in Atlantic City.
Barboza (13-2) appeared to be getting the better of Cerrone at UFC on FOX 11, but after he was floored by a stiff jab, the latter quickly forced him to tap with a rear-naked-choke. The defeat ended Barboza’s three fight win streak.
Dunham (14-5), meanwhile, is also coming off a loss to Cerrone, as he was tapped out by the lightweight with a second round, triangle choke in November. The rugged veteran is 2-3 in his last 5 contests.
UFC FN 45 will be headlined by a bout between lightweight contenders Jim Miller and the aforementioned Cerrone.
