UFC Fight Night 46 was built to showcase the abilities of Conor McGregor, and the Irish featherweight didn’t disappoint his country men and women. Just as the outspoken McGregor predicted heading into the fight, the rising star put away Diego Brandao in the opening round.

While defending a series of leg lock attempts from Brandao early on, McGregor landed several punches from above. After the fight returned to its feet, McGregor quickly returned Brandao to the mat with a left hand. From there, “Notorious” finished the deal with a flurry of right hands, as Brandao attempted to cover up from below.

With the victory, which was the 26 year-old’s third in the UFC, McGregor’s record improved to 15-2. Brandao’s sits at 18-10.
