Tim Boetsch scored another come from behind win tonight at UFC Fight Night 47, and the middleweight earned one of the card’s “Performance of the Night” awards.

Boetsch took some hard shots from Brad Tavares early on, and received two cuts as a result, but came back and finished the latter with a series of punches in round two. “The Barbarian” picked up an extra $50,000 with the award.

The fight was reminiscent of Boetsch’s 2012, third round stoppage win over Yushin Okami.

The other “POTN” went to featherweight Thiago Tavares, who quickly took Robbie Peralta to the mat and put him away with a first round, rear-naked-choke.

“Fight of the Night”, and $50K each, went to welterweights Seth Baczynski and UFC newcomer Alan Jouban. The fight featured several, memorable striking exchanges, but Jouban ended the bout with a pounding, left uppercut late in round one.

UFC FN 47 was hosted by the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.
