UFC Fight Night 50 is nearing completion, as the promotion has announced that Al Iaquinta will battle lightweight Rodrigo Damm at the September 5th card. The upcoming event will go down at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut.

Iaquinta (8-3-1) will be looking to get back on track, after the powerful fighter was choked out by Mitch Clarke at UFC 173 in May. Prior to the defeat the TUF vet had won three straight.

Damm (12-7) is also coming off a loss, as the Brazilian was handed a unanimous decision defeat by Rashid Magomedov in May. Heading into the bout the veteran had scored consecutive wins over Mizuto Hirota and Ivan Jorge.

Some of the other bouts set for UFC FN 50 include Alistair Overeem vs. Ben Rothwell, Gegard Mousasi vs. “Jacare” Souza, Kevin Lewis vs. Matt Mitrione and Michael Chiesa vs. Joe Lauzon.
