Only a few days removed from his submission win over Tom Niinimaki on August 23rd, Chas Skelly has been booked to fight again on September 5th. The featherweight has been tapped to replace the injured Andre Fili at UFC Fight Night 50, who was scheduled to face Sean Soriano.

Skelly (12-1) tapped out Niinimaki with a first round, rear-naked-choke at UFC FN 50, after losing by decision to Mirsad Bektic in his Octagon debut in April.

Soriano (8-1) hasn’t fought since January, when he was submitted by the veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri at a UFC Fight Night card. The defeat came in the featherweight’s promotional debut.

UFC FN 50 will be hosted by the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut and will feature Gegard Mousasi vs. “Jacare” Souza in the main event.
