Rory MacDonald scored his first stoppage win since April, 2012 at UFC FN 54, and in doing so, the top ranked welterweight received a “Performance of the Night” bonus.

MacDonald stopped former Strikeforce champ Tarec Saffiedine with a vicious right hand, left uppercut combo in round three of their main event scrap. The Tristar fighter earned an extra $50,000 with the award.

The other “POTN” and $50K went to Olivier Aubin-Mercier, who tapped out welterweight Jake Lindsey with a inverted triangle-choke.

“Fight of the Night” went to flyweights Chris Kelades and Patrick Holohan for their thrilling scrap. Kelades won the fight via unanimous decision.

UFC FN 54 was hosted by the Halifax Forum in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
