UFC Fight Night 55 has undergone a change, not far out from the November 8th card, as Neil Seery has been forced to withdraw due to injury.

As a result, flyweight Louis Smolka has agreed to step up on short notice and face Richie Vaculik at the event, which will go down in Sydney, Australia. The change was reported by the Australian outlet MMA Kanvas and was re-tweeted by the promotion.

According to a tweet from Seery, a broken rib has forced him to pull out from the bout.

Smolka (7-1) is looking to get back on track after he lost by split decision to contender Chris Cariaso in May. In Smolka’s UFC debut, at a Fight Night card in January, he scored a unanimous decision win over Alptekin Ozkilic.

Vaculik (10-2), meanwhile, is coming off a UD win over Roldan Sangcha-an in June, after he was stopped by Justin Scoggins last December.

UFC FN 55 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between contenders Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold.
