By FCF Staff
Immediately after Jimi Manuwa was awarded a victory over Jan Blachowicz at UFC FN 64, he revealed he did so while injured, and following the event the light-heavyweight provided more details.
Manuwa faced Blachowicz in the card’s co-main event and recorded his 15th pro win via unanimous decision. At the post-fight press conference, Manuwa relayed to MMA Junkie.com that he “tore my meniscus and MCL and ACL” prior to the fight, and as a result, he couldn’t spar for the last month of his camp.
The 35 year-old fighter will now undergo surgery and begin rehabilitating the knee.
Saturday’s fight marked the first time Manuwa had fought since March, 2014, when he was stopped by Alexander Gustafsson. The British fighter has gone 4-1 in the UFC to date.
