Lisa Ellis has put competed in over 20 professional bouts to date, but the next woman who will face her, Bec Rawlings, isn’t convinced she has a warrior’s spirit.

The two will fight at UFC Fight Night 65 next weekend, which will take place in Adelaide, Australia. Recently Rawlings spoke to UFC.com about the upcoming bout, and here is some of what she had to say about Ellis.

“I don’t really think she (Ellis) is a fighter at heart, I think she’s a competitor. She’s competed in wrestling all her life, and I think MMA was just something she branched off into. I don’t feel like she’s a fighter,” Rawlings said. ”And you can tell that by watching her fights. She goes in to win by scoring points, takedowns and things like that, whereas I’m going in there to finish my opponent. I’m going in there with malice, almost. So I think that’s the difference between me and her.”

The Australian fighter went on to add that she plans to “light” Ellis up on her feet, or “submit” the accomplished grappler on the ground.

Rawlings (5-4) is looking to rebound from a decision loss to Heather Clark at the TUF 20 Finale in December, while Ellis (15-9) was submitted by Felice Herrig at the same event.
