Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s vaunted striking game proved to be too much for Jessica Penne at UFC Fight Night 69, as the strawweight champ battered the challenger with strikes, en route to a stoppage win.

Jedrzejczyk repeatedly defended the takedown attempts of Penne, and punished the BJJ black belt with punches, knees, kick and elbows. In round two, Jedrzejczyk blasted Penne with a standing elbow, which clearly stunned the challenger and left her a bloody mess.

After Penne continued to absorb shot after shot in round three, the referee jumped into save the gritty fighter from any more punishment.
