UFC Fight Night 74 has undergone a change, as the promotion has announced that Jared Cannonier is stepping in for injured light-heavyweight, Matt Van Buren.

Van Buren was scheduled to fight UFC newcomer Jonathan Wilson at the August 8th event, who has gone 6-0 to date. The nature of Van Buren’s injury was not disclosed. Wilson hasn’t fought since last August, when he KO’d Daniel Ynojos while competing for Gladiator Challenge.

Cannonier (7-1), meanwhile, is looking to get back on track after he was stopped by heavyweight Shawn Jordan in January. The bout was Cannonier’s Octagon debut.

UFC FN 74 will be hosted by the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. In the main event, Glover Teixeira will battle fellow light-heavyweight contender, Ovince Saint Preux.
