Junior dos Santos ensured that his lengthy run as a top heavyweight contender will continue, as the former champ cruised to a win over Ben Rothwell at UFC Fight Night 86.

Rothwell continually pursued dos Santos throughout the bout, but the latter’s footwork and boxing proved to be too much for the dangerous heavyweight. Dos Santos beat Rothwell to the punch repeatedly throughout the bout, and after the fifth round concluded, the latter was bloodied and bruised.

Following the final horn, dos Santos was handed the unanimous decision win by a 50-45 margin on all three judges’ scorecards.
