Mairbek Taisumov scored another, highlight reel stoppage win at UFC Fight Night 86, and the surging lightweight is calling for a bout with a top ten ranked opponent next.

Taisumov (25-5) took Damir Hadzovic out in the opening round of their contest on Sunday, after cracking the latter with thumping, right uppercut. The win was Taisumov’s fourth straight victory, and all four have been via stoppage.

Following the event, Taisumov had this to say about his future at the post-fight presser (quote via UFC.com):

“A long time I am asking about top 10 guys,” Taisumov said. “I want to fight these guys. I want to fight the best. I have four knockouts in a streak and I hope to have four more. I am going to keep winning and then one day they will give me a title shot.”

The 27 year-old has gone 5-1 to date in the Octagon. Taisumov’s only loss during his UFC run came via decision to Michel Richard Cunha dos Prazeres in 2014.
