Recently Tarec Saffiedine reported that he likely would be withdrawing from UFC Fight Night 88 this Sunday, but it appears as though that’s not going to happen.

Recently the former Strikeforce welterweight champ revealed that he has suffered a knee injury, and as a result, his bout with Rick Story was up in the air. Well, more recently, Saffiedine (16-4) has confirmed with MMA Fighting.com that he has been medically cleared to compete this weekend.

The Belgian fighter is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jake Ellenberger in January. Story (18-8), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since 2014 when he decisioned Gunnar Nelson.

UFC FN 88 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
