Derrick Lewis has taken out his last three opponents in violent fashion, but when the heavyweight challenged Roy Nelson to scrap, the latter was happy to oblige.

Lewis and Nelson are scheduled to fight at UFC Fight Night 90, which will take place on July 7th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Recently “Big Country” spoke to UFC.com about the fight, and here is some of what Nelson had to say:

“The reason we got Derrick Lewis is because Derrick wanted to fight me and anybody that wants to fight me, I’m more than happy to make that fight happen,” Nelson reportedly said with a laugh.

“The one thing about being in the UFC, everybody is at the top of the game and you just have to fight. That’s the reason I like being the guy that if you even have a shot at the title, you have to at least get past me.”

Nelson, meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Jared Rosholt in February, which snapped his three fight losing streak. Nelson is currently ranked #10 at heavyweight, and Lewis is #12.
