The pre-fight narrative leading up to UFC Fight Night 92 is that fans will be treated to a main event filled with highlight reel, acrobatic techniques, and Yair Rodriguez doesn’t disagree.

On Saturday night, the rising featherweight will take on Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres. Just like Rodriguez, Caceres has never been labelled as ‘conservative’, when it comes to his fighting approach. Recently Rodriquez spoke to UFC.com about the upcoming match-up and the Mexican fighter had this to say:

“I’ve worked with a lot of guys that have been helping me a lot and they have a similar style to Caceres, and I don’t have too much of a problem with guys like that,” he said. “I’m not saying that he’s no good – he’s good and I respect him a lot as a fighter, but I’ve been training since I was a kid, so I’m used to that kind of stuff – people who change stances and stuff like that – and three of my fights in the UFC have been against lefties, so I’m used to it. You never know what he’s going to throw, but I’m going to be aware of everything and I’ve been training a lot for things like that. I think it’s going to be a very exciting fight for both of us because he doesn’t know what I’m going to throw and I don’t know what he’s going to throw. It’s going to be pretty interesting to see.”

Rodriguez is coming off an emphatic, jumping headkick KO of Andre Fili in April. Caceres, meanwhile, decisioned Cole Miller in June.

UFC FN 92 will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah.
