Tony Ferguson may be on one of the most impressive runs currently in MMA, but Rafael dos Anjos says the lightweight contender is too confident, leading up to their bout Saturday.

Dos Anjos and Ferguson will fight in the headliner of UFC Fight Night 98, November 5th, which will take place in Mexico City. Ferguson has won eight straight fights heading into the bout, while dos Anjos is coming off a stoppage loss to Eddie Alvarez, which ended his reign as champion.

On the latest “UFC Tonight“, RDA had this to say about Ferguson and their bout this weekend (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“Tony has a funky style, but like I said, I’ve got to be me, be aggressive and be first. I’ve fought better guys than him. I’ve been in three title fights and this is my fifth main event. His confidence is going to go against him.”

“He’s too overconfident. You can see the way he talks. He’s got eight wins straight, but he’s never faced anyone like me. I’m in the best shape of my life. It’s been a tough year for me, but I’m going to end this year with a victory.”

Saturday’s card will be hosted by the Mexico City Arena.
