Although the bout has yet to be finalized, the UFC is hoping to book the highly anticipated rematch between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson for August 30th.

The fight would be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to a report from ESPN.com, which was also cited by the official UFC site, Gustafsson has verbally agreed to fight Jones at UFC 177. The light-heavyweight champ, however, has reportedly not signed the bout agreement yet.

Jones defeated Gustafsson by unanimous decision at UFC 165 in September, in what was one of the promotion’s best championship fights in recent memory.

Since the memorable clash, Jones has gone on to decision Glover Teixeira, while Gustafsson stopped Jimi Manuwa in his last outing.
