UFC on FOX 16 Averages Just Under 3 Million Viewers

Last Saturday’s UFC on FOX 16 card drew impressive ratings for FOX, as the network is reporting that the July 25th event averaged nearly 3 million viewers.

Saturday’s event took place in Chicago, Illinois, and featured bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw taking on Renan Barao for a second time. The card’s co-headliner saw Miesha Tate battle fellow bantamweight contender Jessica Eye.

According to a follow up press release from FOX Sports, the UFC on FOX 16 broadcast averaged 2.8 million viewers. The broadcast peaked during the Dillashaw-Barao, main event, and drew 3.8 million viewers.

The program was the top ranked, sports program on television that day, according to the network.

Dillashaw stopped Barao in the fourth round of the main event, marking the second time he has taken out the renowned fighter. Tate, meanwhile, earned a unanimous decision win over Eye.
