It may seem hard to believe for old school MMA fans, but when Jim Miller battles Danny Castillo at UFC on FOX 16 this Saturday, he’ll be competing in his 20th bout with the promotion…

Yes, Miller made his Octagon debut way back in 208, and since then, the 31 year-old has faced many of the lightweight division’s toughest competitors. Recently Miller spoke to UFC.com about this Saturday’s bout, and while doing so, the New Jersey fighter said this:

“I’m always looking to give my best and my motivation has always been to go in there and beat the snot out of the guy who is standing in front of me. That’s always been there and it will always be there because that’s just my competitive nature. I also feel the pressure heading into this fight with Castillo. My last fight was kind of a letdown and I pissed the bed in a manner of speaking, but this will be my 20th fight inside the UFC and I’m looking to get to 30 so I have to win. Really it’s about going out and doing what I love to do and performing at my best.”

Miller is looking to get back on track, as the well rounded fighter is coming off consecutive losses to Donald Cerrone and Beneil Dariush. This is the first time in Miller’s career that the perennial contender has lost consecutive bouts.

Castillo, has been defeated by Tony Ferguson and Paul Felder in his last two outings.

UFC on FOX 16 will be hosted by Chicago’s United Center.
