UFC on FOX 16: Jim Miller Steps in For Rustam Khabilov

Jim Miller

By FCF Staff

UFC on FOX 16 has undergone a change, approximately one month out from the event, as the promotion has announced that Rustam Khabilov is being replaced by Jim Miller.

According to the promotion’s official announcement, Khabilov has encountered visa issues and cannot fight Danny Castillo on July 25th as a result. The veteran Miller, however, has agreed to step in.

Miller (24-6) will be looking to get back on track after dropping consecutive bouts to Donald Cerrone and Beneil Dariush. It marks the first time in the 31 year-old’s career that he’s lost back-to-back bouts.

Castillo (17-8) is also coming off consecutive losses, as the 35 year-old was decisioned by Tony Ferguson and knocked out by Paul Felder in his last two outings.

UFC on FOX 16 will be hosted by Chicago’s United Center. In the main event, bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will rematch Renan Barao.
