By FCF Staff

The light heavyweight main event between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis during the UFC on FOX 2 primetime televised event on Saturday, Jan. 28, averaged 6.1 million viewers, according to information released by FOX officials.

The two-hour broadcast from a sold-out United Center in Chicago, averaged 4.7 million viewers, or a 2.6 household rating.  The ratings generated tie with those garnered by UFC 75 for second-highest-rated UFC event in U.S. television history.  UFC on FOX 2 ranks third highest among all MMA events in U.S. history.   Only UFC on FOX 1 and EliteXC: Primetime on CBS faired better.

The first UFC on FOX event, which only featured one bout – the heavyweight title battle between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos – averaged 5.7 million viewers.
