UFC on FOX 20: Valentina Shevchenko Says Amanda Nunes is “Scared” to Rematch Her
By FCF Staff
After scoring a unanimous decision win over Holly Holm last night at UFC on FOX 20, Valentina Shevchenko appears to have her sights firmly fixed on bantamweight champ, Amanda Nunes.
Shevchenk and Nunes fought this past March and the latter won the fight via UD. Following Shevchenko’s victory last night, however, she argued Nunes is “definitely scared” to face her again. The decorated striker also stated (quote via MMA Fighting.com):
“I’m keeping my eyes on the bantamweight championship,” Shevchenko said. “These are my plans. I hope to get my revenge against Amanda Nunes. I’ll do my best to make sure this happens. I know perfectly well that I need to train hard. This I promise. I will always fight with all my heart in the Octagon.”
Nunes laid claim to the 135 title at UFC 200 earlier this month, by quickly taking out Miesha Tate with strikes.
