Kyle Bochniak will throw down in his second UFC bout on August 27th, and the Massachusetts fighter will do so, having transitioned into professional fighting, fulltime, for the last six months.

The featherweight is booked to fight TUF Latin America Season 2 winner, Enrique Barzola, at UFC on FOX 21. The fight will mark the first time Bochniak has fought since January, when he stepped up on short notice to fight Charles Rosa at UFC FN 81, and lost via unanimous decision.

Recently Bochniak appeared on Full Contact Fighter Radio, and while discussing whether he’s able to train fulltime now, the 6-1 fighter stated:

“Yeah. I train this fulltime,” said Bochniak. “I don’t have a lot of money. Everything is basically broken down to a science: how much money I need to eat for a week; how much money I need for gas, for my tolls, for my cellphone bill. So everything goes into one account. All my money goes into another account for all my privates, all my training.”

Bochniak was tapped for his UFC debut this past January, just nine days after he choked out Taylor Trahan at CES MMA 32.

“It was extremely helpful that I got into the UFC, because I made some good money then, so for this past six months I’ve just been training; training full time,” added the South Boston fighter. “Even before I even knew I had a fight with Enrique, and once I knew I was fighting Enrique then I kicked it up a notch. I’m training full time. This is my life; I’m dedicating everything to this. This is my window; my opportunity of a lifetime, and I’m going to take advantage of this.”

UFC on FOX 21 will be hosted by Vancouver, British Columbia. In the main event, Demian Maia will take on fellow welterweight contender, Carlos Condit.
