Urijah Faber has already announced that this Saturday’s scrap with Brad Pickett will be his last, but the Sacramento star concedes a comeback bout isn’t impossible.

Several weeks ago, the 37 year-old reported that he had decided UFC on FOX 22 would mark his retirement from MMA. The card will take place in Sacramento, and the fight comes after Faber has been defeated in consecutive fights, for the first time in his career. In June, Faber was decisioned by Dominick Cruz, and in September, Jimmie Rivera also defeated him by that margin.

The former WEC champ appeared on the latest “UFC Tonight“, and when asked if this Saturday will be his last fight for certain, Faber (33-10) stated (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“I’m pretty content with what I’ve done. I wouldn’t rule out anything. But I’m planning on phasing it out and focusing on other things. I know it’ll be tempting. My focus is to hang it up.”

When asked whether his training camp for the Pickett fight has been different, considering Faber’s pending retirement, the bantamweight reported:

“I’d like to say it’s been the same, but it’s different without the bigger picture in the horizon. I’m usually trying to jockey for a super-fight or title fight in the future. This one is just about making sure I get to this fight healthy and to feel strong, let everything hang out.”

Pickett (25-12), meanwhile, is coming off a submission loss to Iuri Alcantara in October.
