Leading up to UFC on FOX 28, there was extensive discussion about the fact the card didn’t feature many, notable names. But, according to the preliminary numbers, the Orlando card drew decent ratings, all things considered.

Saturday’s event featured a featherweight bout between Jeremy Stephens and Josh Emmett in the headliner. Although both men were coming off pivotal, memorable wins, neither is considered to be a household name. But, a follow up report from MMA Fighting is relaying that the early numbers indicate the card drew 1,826,000 viewers.

That figure is one of the lowest for UFC FOX cards to date, but, they are highers than last month’s January 27th event, which reportedly averaged 1,593,000. In addition, UFC on FOX 28 was up against the Olympics and a NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
