Jordan Mein likely understands that he has a ways to go before he locks up another bout with Tyron Woodley, but it looks like the welterweight’s still eyeing a rematch with the champ.

Mein took on Alex Morono at UFC on FOX 30 this past Saturday, and worked his way to a unanimous decision win over the aggressive fighter. The victory was Mein’s second in a row, as in his outing prior, he defeated Erick Silva by decision.

After the pivotal win, the Canadian fighter was asked about his hopes for the future, and Mein had this to say about Woodley (quote via MMA Junkie):

“I’ve lost to (Woodley), we had a close split decision, and I kept the receipt,” Mein said, reportedly with a laugh. “So I want that one back.”

“Woodley’s next,” Mein joked. “(Darren) Till is going to get hurt, and I’m going to step in there. That’s how it is.”

Mein faced Woodley back in 2012, when the two were competing under the Strikeforce banner. Woodley is scheduled to fight Till on September 8th at UFC 228.
