The line-up for UFC on FOX 9 continues to build, as the promotion has announced that veteran lightweights Joe Lauzon and Mac Danzig have agreed to fight on the December 14th card.

Lauzon (22-9) has struggled in his last two bouts, as the renowned finisher has lost by unanimous decision to Jim Miller and Michael Johnson, after submitting Jamie Varner last August. The 29 year-old, former TUF competitor has gone 2-3 in his last five bouts.

Danzig (21-11-1) is also in need of a win, as the TUF 6 winner is coming off a split decision loss to Takanori Gomi and more recently a KO defeat at the hands of Melvin Guillard, which took place in July. Prior to the losses the established vet worked his way to a UD win over Efrain Escudero last April. Danzig is 2-3 in his last five scraps as well.

UFC on FOX 9 will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Anthony Pettis and Josh Thomson and will be hosted by Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena.
