By FCF Staff
Former TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum has been forced to withdraw from the December 14th, UFC on FOX 9 card, as the welterweight is reporting that he’s injured his knee. The 22 year-old fighter was scheduled to fight TUF 11 winner Court McGee.
Gastelum announced the news via his Twitter feed by relaying:
So I guess news is out. I tore my PCL and will need about 4-6 weeks recovery. Good news is I won’t need surgery. I’m really bummed tho 🙁

According to reports the UFC is trying to recruit a replacement opponent for McGee.
After handing Uriah Hall a split decision loss to win TUF 17 in April, Gastelum (7-0) went on to submit Brian Melancon in the opening round at UFC FN 27 in August.
McGee (16-3), meanwhile, is coming off wins over Josh Neer and Robert Whittaker, after dropping consecutive bouts to middleweights Nick Ring and Costa Philippou.
