Jussier “Formiga” da Silva scored a pivotal, decision win over Zack Makovsky at UFC Fight Night 47, and the flyweight has moved into the upper echelon of the division as a result.

The UFC has released its latest rankings, and “Formiga” has been voted into the #4 ranking, following his victory over Makovsky on Saturday. The latter fell a position and now sits at #10.

“Formiga” was coming off a first round, submission win over Scott Jorgensen, after he was stopped by Joseph Benavidez in September.

Another big winner at UFC FN 47 was Ross Pearson, who took out Gray Maynard in the second round with a series of punches. The lightweight has moved into the top 15 rankings, as Pearson is now positioned at #14.

Maynard, who has lost three straight, fell three spots and is ranked #15.

Bantamweight Sarah McMann has advanced from the #4 ranking to #3, after decisioning Lauren Murphy. Alexis Davis, who was ranked at #3, slips a spot and is now #4.

The UFC rankings are determined by a panel of media members following each of the promotion’s events.
