Phil Davis scored a one sided, and pivotal win over Glover Teixeira at UFC 179 on Saturday, and the light-heavyweight’s ranking has improved as a result.

The UFC has released it’s latest rankings, following this weekend’s event, and Davis has moved up from the #6 position at 205 to #5. Teixeira, who lost the bout via unanimous decision, dropped to #6.

Anthony Johnson, who decisioned Davis in April and is coming off a quick, KO win over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, moved up two spots and is #3. Rashad Evans was #3 and has dropped to #4.

In other rankings news, women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey moved up one spot in the pound-for-pound ranking and is currently ranked #8. Welterweight champ Johny Hendricks slipped a position and is #9.

The UFC rankings are voted on by a panel of media members following each event.
