UFC & Rizin Vet Ian McCall Announces Retirement
By FCF Staff
Flyweight pioneer and UFC veteran Ian McCall, has announced he’s retiring from professional fighting.
The 33 year-old McCall, who was quickly stopped by Kyoji Horiguchi at a Rizin event earlier this month, made the announcement during the latest edition of “The MMA Hour“.
McCall turned pro in 2002, and over the coming years, established himself as one of the best flyweights in the world. During his UFC run, McCall faced reigning flyweight king Demetrious Johnson twice. The two battled to a draw in their first bout, and Johnson won the rematch via decision.
The veteran left the UFC in 2015, and moved to Rizin, where McCall went 0-2.
