Anthony Smith got back on track today at UFC Stockholm, by submitting Alexander Gustafsson, who proceeded to announce he’s ending his fighting career.

Smith pressured Gustafsson throughout much of the fight, while the latter countered with plenty of kicks and his jab. In round four, however, Smith reversed a takedown attempt from Gustafsson and then proceeded to sink in a fight-ending, rear-naked-choke.

After the bout, Gustafsson told the crowd that the “show is over” and left his gloves in the cage. Several weeks ago, the 32-year-old Gustafsson said a loss today might signal that he’s no longer a top tier light-heavyweight. Both Smith and Gustafsson were coming off losses to champion Jon Jones heading into today’s card.
