Pele Landi to face Newton at Pride 19! By Eduardo Alonso One of the most charismatic Chute Boxe fighters is returning to Pride. Jose Pele Landi has been inactive since his showing at Pride 14 against Daijiro Matsui, when he lost a judges’ decision in a controversial fight. However, his pupil Murilo Ninja has been making a name for himself in Japan, and Pele has been constantly going along with him to be in his corner at the Pride events. Now, Pele won’t have to just be in the corner of his pupil, and instead he will face another very exciting fighter, former UFC Champion Carlos Newton, at Pride 19 on February 22! Pele is very excited about it and already training very hard for the fight.
