Following his electrifying, upset win at UFC Vancouver, Tristan Connelly collected $100,000 in bonus money.

The Canadian fighter agreed to fight highlight reel striker, Michel Pereira on just five days notice, after the latter’s original opponent Sergey Khadozhko dropped out. Connelly survived an early storm from Pereira, and went on to record a decision win over the Brazilian, in what was a thrilling fight.

The bout was given “Fight of the Night” honors, which typically delivers $50,000 to each fighter. But, since Pereira missed weight for the contest, Connelly took home both bonuses.

With the win on Saturday, the 33-year-old Connelly moved his overall record to 14-6.
