Roosevelt Roberts will battle one of the most respected grapplers in the UFC’s lightweight division today. But, the rising fighter’s confident he’ll be okay, if his fight with Jim Miller hits the floor.

Roosevelt (10-1) has been booked to face the accomplished veteran, after going 3-1 in the UFC to date. While talking to the media recently, Roosevelt had this to say about his ground game, versus the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt’s (quotes via MMA Junkie).

“Yeah, I definitely feel comfortable,” the BJJ brown belt said. “Don’t get me wrong, I know he’s a top-level jiu-jitsu guy, but I’ve been training jiu-jitsu since I started. I love jiu-jitsu. Jiu-jitsu, I feel like, just comes naturally to me. I really am into it with jiu-jitsu.

“I really believe in my jiu-jitsu, so I don’t think him taking me down will make me feel overwhelmed or anything, because I feel naturally good when I’m on my back or when we start training the game of jiu-jitsu.”

Miller (31-14) is coming off a decision loss to Scott Holtzman, and has gone 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.
