The UFC’s latest card in Las Vegas took place on Saturday, and it saw Shamil Gaziev incur his first pro defeat.

The heavyweight took on contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the headliner, who countered Gaziev consistently with a stinging jab. After the fourth round, referee Marc Goddard waived off the fight, after hearing Gaziev tell his corner something.

The broadcast team reported the bloodied Gaziev (12-1) had said something about a vision issue. Rozenstruik (14-5) has now gone 2-3 in his last 5 fights.

The event also saw Tyson Pedro announce he’s retiring, following his unanimous decision loss to rising light heavyweight, Vitor Petrino.
