Brendan Allen officially avenged his 2021 loss to Chris Curtis at UFC Vegas 90 on Saturday, but the surging middleweight was pushed to his limits by the rugged vet.

After five rounds of back-and-forth action, Allen was awarded the entertaining fight by two of the cage-side judges. Curtis, who was stepping in on short notice for Marvin Vettori, stopped Allen in the second round of their first fight.

Allen (24-5) has won seven straight bouts since that defeat. Curtis (31-11) is 2-2, with 1 no-contest in his last five fights.
