Sergei Pavlovich took an emphatic and massive step towards a shot at the UFC’s heavyweight title on Saturday, by finishing Curtis Blayes in the opening round.

Both heavyweights landed some hard punches in the opening frame, but it was Pavlovich who landed more, stinging shots, which finished the noted wrestler. The Russian fighter has recorded six straight, stoppage wins.
